Instructions
- Mix 1/3 cup warm milk with yeast and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Combine remaining warm milk with butter and sugar, then add to yeast mixture.
- Stir in eggs, flour, nutmeg, and salt until just combined.
- Knead the dough until smooth, then place in a greased bowl and let rise until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough and cut into doughnut shapes, allowing them to rise again.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes until golden.
- Coat warm doughnuts in melted butter and toss in a sugar-cinnamon mixture.
