Ingredients

The doughnut mixture

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • cup sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tablespoons cold unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup skim milk
  • ¼ cup nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1 large egg

For topping

  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a doughnut pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients except the powdered sugar.
  3. Add the cold butter to the dry mixture and mix until it resembles sand.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and mix in the Greek yogurt.
  5. Heat the milk until simmering, then combine it with the egg and yogurt mixture.
  6. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  7. Transfer the dough to a pastry bag and pipe it into the doughnut pan.
  8. Bake for 13-15 minutes until done.
  9. Remove the doughnuts from the pan and sift powdered sugar over them.
