Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and prepare the donut pans with non-stick spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, vegetable oil, and granulated sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
- Transfer the batter to a piping bag and fill the donut cavities about 1/4-inch from the top.
- Bake for 7 to 8 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan briefly before transferring to wire racks.
- For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread the glaze over the cooled donuts and add sprinkles if desired.
