Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare the donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
- In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients until combined.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fill the donut cavities with the batter using a zipped-top bag.
- Bake for 10-11 minutes until lightly browned and springy to touch.
- Cool the donuts briefly in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Prepare the icing by melting butter and maple syrup, then whisk in the sugar and extract.
- Dip the warm donuts into the icing and let excess drip off.
