Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and spray a donut pan with non-stick spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg, brown sugar, milk, and yogurt until smooth, then add melted butter and vanilla.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined without overmixing.
- Spoon the batter into the donut cavities using a zipped-top bag for easier piping.
- Bake for 9-10 minutes until lightly browned, then cool for about two minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- For the topping, mix the sugar and cinnamon in one bowl and melt the butter in another.
- Dip the warm donuts in melted butter and then dunk in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
