Cinnamon Sugar Donuts

Ingredients

The dough

  • 1 cup self-rising gluten free flour
  • 1 Tbsp self-rising gluten free flour
  • 6 Tbsp butter, softened
  • ¾ cup non-fat plain Greek yogurt

The cinnamon sugar coating

  • 2 Tbsp maple sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF (177ºC) and grease a standard donut pan.
  2. Mix the flour and softened butter together with your hands until well combined.
  3. Add the yogurt and mix with a fork until the dough is formed.
  4. Divide the dough into 6 pieces and roll each into a rope, then place in the donut pan and press the ends together.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes until set and slightly golden around the edges.
  6. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  7. Once cooled, lightly spray or rub the donuts with oil or melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
