Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease two donut pans.
- Whip the aquafaba until soft peaks form and set aside.
- Warm the almond milk and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix melted coconut oil, coconut sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt.
- Add applesauce and warmed almond milk to the mixture and combine.
- Stir in baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, almond flour, and gluten-free flour until combined.
- Gently fold in the whipped aquafaba until just mixed.
- Fill the donut pans with the batter and bake for 18-20 minutes.
- For the glaze, mix melted coconut oil, maple syrup, cocoa powder, salt, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
- Let the donuts cool slightly, dip in glaze, and add toppings if desired.
