Instructions
- Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and melted butter, then mix into the dry ingredients.
- Heat oil in a pot or deep skillet to 375°F (190°C).
- Using a small round ice cream scoop, drop the dough into the hot oil, frying five or six at a time until browned, about 1-2 minutes, turning once.
- Drain the fried donut holes on paper towels and roll them in sugar before serving.
