Ingredients

The chicken

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts

The seasoning and sauce

  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ cup white onion, finely diced
  • 1 tsp finely chopped jalapeño
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • tsp dry ranch seasoning mix
  • to taste none black pepper
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • cup buffalo sauce
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. 1. Season the chicken breasts with salt.
  2. 2. Set the slow cooker to 'high' and place the chicken inside.
  3. 3. Add onion, jalapeño, and garlic to the cooker.
  4. 4. Sprinkle in ranch seasoning and black pepper, then pour in honey and buffalo sauce.
  5. 5. Mix everything together using tongs.
  6. 6. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. 7. Shred the chicken in the slow cooker and add butter.
  8. 8. Turn the heat to low and let it rest for about an hour, tossing occasionally.
  9. 9. After resting, uncover and let it sit for about 15 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  10. 10. Serve on lettuce wraps, sliders, or as desired.
