Instant Pot Whole Chicken

Instructions
- Pour water or broth into the inner cooking liner of the pressure cooker.
- Rub the chicken with a spice rub or salt & pepper.
- Stuff the cavity of the chicken with onion, apple, herbs, and/or lemon wedges.
- Set the chicken on the trivet/rack and lower it into the pot.
- Close the lid and set the vent to the Sealing position.
- Press the Pressure Cook/Manual button and set the cook time to 6 minutes per pound with a 10 minute Natural Release.
- After cooking, let the pot sit undisturbed for 10 minutes, then release any remaining steam.
- Carefully open the lid and remove the chicken to a platter.
- If desired, broil the chicken to crisp the skin before serving.
