Instructions
- Prepare the pie crust by mixing flour, sugar, and salt, then incorporating cold butter until crumbly.
- Add cold water gradually until the dough comes together, then chill it in the refrigerator.
- Roll out the dough and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish, trimming the edges.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together brown sugar, melted butter, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, and salt.
- Add pecans and chocolate to the pie crust, then pour the filling over them.
- Brush the edges of the crust with egg wash and bake for 45 to 50 minutes until set.
- Allow the pie to cool completely for 2 to 3 hours before slicing.
