Ingredients

The Cakes

  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • ¼ cup Cacao Powder

For Serving

  • to taste Vanilla Ice Cream
  • to taste Shaved Chocolate

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Melt the chocolate chips and butter together in a bowl using a microwave or double-boiler method.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, vanilla, salt, sugar, and cacao until smooth.
  4. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and stir until fully combined.
  5. Grease four 4-inch ramekins and divide the batter evenly among them.
  6. Bake for 25-27 minutes until the middle is set.
  7. Allow the cakes to cool slightly before serving.
  8. Top with chocolate shavings and serve with vanilla ice cream if desired.
