Instructions
- Boil a large pot of water.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the sausage until browned, then set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic, yellow pepper, and artichoke hearts until softened.
- Add the sausage back to the skillet with tomatoes, tomato sauce, and maple syrup, then season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes until thickened.
- Cook the pasta according to package directions.
- Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Drain the pasta and serve topped with sauce, Parmesan, and basil.
