Instructions
- Place all ingredients except for the Parmigiano Reggiano and toasted bread into the slow cooker.
- Cook on high for 6 to 12 hours, depending on the type of beans used.
- Taste the broth and adjust salt as needed when the beans are done.
- Serve the beans ladled over toasted bread and top with Parmigiano Reggiano and cracked pepper.
