Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
- Mix together the dry ingredients for the cupcakes in a medium bowl and set aside.
- Melt the butter and whisk in the sugar, then chill briefly.
- Add the egg, yogurt, milk, and vanilla to the butter mixture and combine.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until smooth.
- Separate ¾ cup of the batter and mix in cocoa powder and a tablespoon of milk.
- Spoon the batters into the cupcake liners, alternating between vanilla and chocolate, and swirl if desired.
- Bake for 20-24 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean, then cool completely.
- Prepare the chocolate frosting by mixing the ingredients until creamy.
- Prepare the vanilla frosting similarly.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes with the prepared frostings.
