Cherry Tomato Pasta

Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and a few pinches of salt; cook covered for 7 minutes until softened.
- Stir in minced garlic, crushed red pepper, and cherry tomatoes; cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- Uncover and cook for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- While the sauce cooks, boil salted water and cook spaghetti until al dente, reserving about ¾ cup of pasta water.
- Drain the pasta and add ½ cup of reserved pasta water to the sauce, bringing it to a simmer.
- Add the cooked pasta, butter, and toss to combine for about a minute.
- Serve topped with Parmesan-Reggiano, crushed red pepper, and fresh basil.
