Broiled Lobster Tail

Ingredients

The lobster tails

  • 4 pieces lobster tails

The marinade

  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ¼ cup cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2-3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1-2 teaspoons minced thyme, chopped
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to broil.
  2. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, cooking oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne pepper, minced thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cut the top of the lobster shell lengthwise down the center, then cut at an angle on both sides to loosen the meat.
  4. Lift the meat and lay it over the shell.
  5. Brush the lobster meat with the olive oil-garlic mixture until well coated.
  6. Place the lobster tails in a baking dish and cover with plastic wrap to marinate in the fridge for about 25-30 minutes.
  7. Broil the lobster tails in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes until the flesh is opaque and white.
  8. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
