Instructions
- Prepare the dough by mixing warm water, yeast, and sugar; let it rest until foamy.
- Add remaining sugar, milk, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture.
- Cut cold butter into pieces and pulse with flour in a food processor until crumbly.
- Combine the flour mixture with the wet ingredients and fold until moistened.
- Wrap the dough tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Roll and fold the dough several times, then refrigerate again.
- Cut the dough in half and shape into rounds, filling with desired filling.
- Brush with egg wash and chill shaped pastries before baking.
- Preheat the oven and bake until golden brown.
