Ingredients

The cookie dough

  • 1 cup peanut butter or any nut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • ¼ cup mashed banana
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Optional add-ins

  • a pinch sea salt
  • to taste chopped nuts
  • to taste vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix all 5 main ingredients in a bowl until smooth, about 3 minutes.
  3. Scoop 2 tablespoons of dough for each cookie and roll into balls, placing them on the baking sheet with enough space between each.
  4. Bake for 12-13 minutes until the cookies are crackly and set.
  5. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with sea salt, and let cool on the baking sheet for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
