Ingredients

The carrots

  • 1 lb baby carrots

The sauce

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 ½ tablespoons maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3 dashes ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon thyme and Italian parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C).
  2. Rinse the baby carrots under cold running water, then drain and set aside.
  3. In an oven-safe skillet, heat the melted butter over medium heat until it turns light brown.
  4. Add the garlic and sauté for a minute.
  5. Add the carrots, maple syrup, salt, pepper, and herbs to the skillet.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 15 to 20 minutes until the carrots are tender.
  7. Serve immediately.
