Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup sugar-free brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and whisk together.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low.
  3. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until the ketchup thickens.
  4. If the ketchup is still too thin, cook for an additional 5 to 10 minutes.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Allow the ketchup to cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container and refrigerating.
