Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and prepare a baking sheet.
- 2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 3. In a separate bowl, combine sugar and orange zest, then mix into the flour mixture.
- 4. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles pea-sized chunks.
- 5. In a measuring cup, whisk together half and half, eggs, and vanilla, then add to the dry ingredients and mix until moist.
- 6. Gently fold in cranberries, knead the dough on a floured surface until it comes together.
- 7. Shape the dough into a circle, roll out, cut into wedges, and place on the baking sheet.
- 8. Brush with half and half and sprinkle with turbinado sugar before baking.
- 9. Bake for 15-17 minutes until golden brown and cool on a wire rack.
