Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment or a Silpat.
- In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add orange zest and cranberries, then whisk together.
- Grate the frozen butter and mix it into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse meal.
- In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream and egg, then drizzle over the flour mixture and combine with a fork.
- Form the dough into a ball, being careful not to overwork it.
- Flour a surface and press the dough into an 8-inch disc, cutting it into wedges.
- Place the wedges on the baking sheet and sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake for 15-17 minutes until lightly golden, then cool.
