Ingredients

The chocolates

  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips or chopped semisweet chocolate
  • 16 ounces white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate

The flavoring and toppings

  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • ¾ cup crushed candy canes

Instructions

  1. Melt the semisweet chocolate in a bowl using a microwave or double boiler.
  2. Spread the melted chocolate into a thin layer on parchment paper and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  3. Melt the white chocolate and mix in the peppermint extract until smooth.
  4. Spread the white chocolate over the semisweet layer and top with crushed candy canes.
  5. Chill the bark in the fridge for about 20 minutes until set.
  6. Allow the bark to sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before cutting into pieces.
