White Chocolate Peppermint Bark

dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips

white chocolate chips

peppermint extract

Instructions
- Line an 8x8 baking dish or a small cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips in a bowl for 1 minute, stirring until smooth.
- Spread the melted chocolate into the bottom of the lined dish and refrigerate for 5-7 minutes to set.
- Melt the white chocolate for 1 minute in the microwave, stirring until creamy. If needed, microwave for additional 15-second increments.
- Stir in the peppermint extract into the melted white chocolate and let it cool for 1 minute.
- Pour the white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer in the dish.
- Sprinkle the crushed candy canes on top.
- Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes, then break into pieces to serve.
