Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Ingredients

  • 1 package Little Smokies (about 40 links)
  • 1 pound bacon (each strip cut into thirds)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup ketchup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with foil and a rack.
  2. Wrap each Smokie in a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick, then place on the baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 30 minutes.
  4. While baking, mix the brown sugar and ketchup in a bowl to make the barbecue sauce.
  5. After 30 minutes, brush or pour the sauce over the Smokies and return to the oven.
  6. Bake for an additional 15 minutes until hot and sticky, then serve warm.
