Fudgy Peppermint Brownies

The topping

crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare an 8x8-inch baking dish.
- Melt the chocolate chips and butter in the microwave until smooth.
- Let the melted chocolate cool for 5 minutes.
- Whisk the eggs into the chocolate mixture one at a time, then add sugar.
- Incorporate the vanilla, cocoa powder, gluten-free flour, cinnamon, salt, and half of the crushed candy canes.
- Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for 10-15 minutes and top with remaining crushed candy canes.
- Cut and serve once cooled.
