Teriyaki Chicken

Ingredients

The chicken

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 32 oz Boneless skinless chicken breasts

The teriyaki sauce

  • ½ cup Coconut aminos
  • ¼ cup Honey
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ tsp Blackstrap molasses
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Ground ginger
  • ½ tsp Sesame oil (optional)

Optional garnish

  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp Green onion (thinly sliced)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the chicken in a single layer and sear until browned and almost cooked through.
  3. Whisk together all ingredients for the teriyaki sauce in a bowl.
  4. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken and reduce heat to medium-low.
  5. Simmer until the sauce thickens and slightly reduces.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
