Ingredients

The filling

  • 1 can spicy salmon or tuna (such as Fishwife)
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 avocado thinly sliced
  • ½ medium cucumber, cut into matchsticks

The wraps

  • 5 sheets toasted nori
  • Cooked sushi rice for filling
  • Gochugaru for serving or other mild red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Cut the nori sheets in half to make rectangles.
  2. In a bowl, mix the salmon or tuna with mayonnaise and reserved oil.
  3. Place a nori sheet shiny side down and add a spoonful of sushi rice on one side.
  4. Top the rice with salmon, avocado slices, and cucumber matchsticks.
  5. Fold the nori over the fillings to form a cone and seal with water.
  6. Sprinkle the exposed filling with gochugaru.
