Instructions
- Proof the yeast by mixing it with sugar and warm water, then let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
- Add the remaining sugar, milk, canola oil, butter, eggs, and lemon juice to the yeast mixture and combine.
- Add the dry ingredients and mix on low speed, then increase to medium speed and mix for 5 minutes.
- Pour the dough into a buttered baking dish and smooth the top.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 to 1 ¼ hours.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F during the last 10 minutes of rising.
- Bake the bread for 20 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F, tent with foil, and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
- Cool the bread in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
