Ingredients

The couscous

  • 1 cup dry whole wheat couscous
  • cups water

The flavorings

  • 3 cloves roasted garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, roughly chopped
  • tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil.
  2. Add whole wheat couscous to boiling water and stir to combine.
  3. Cover the pot and immediately remove from heat.
  4. Let couscous sit for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Fluff couscous with a fork.
  6. Add minced roasted garlic, fresh basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper to the couscous.
  7. Stir everything together and serve.
