Ingredients

The chicken

  • 4 pieces Chicken Breasts (about 6 ounces each)

The seasoning

  • ½ tsp Onion Powder
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Paprika
  • ½ tsp Oregano
  • 2 tsp Salt (kosher)
  • 1 tsp Coarse Ground Black Pepper

The cooking oil

  • ½ tbsp Avocado Oil (or other high heat oil)

Instructions

  1. Dry the chicken breasts thoroughly with paper towels.
  2. Trim off any visible fat from the chicken.
  3. Pound the chicken to an even thickness of about 1 inch using a meat mallet.
  4. Generously sprinkle the seasoning mixture on both sides of the chicken.
  5. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add the oil.
  6. Once the oil is hot, place the chicken in the pan and leave it undisturbed.
  7. Cook for about 4 minutes on one side until golden, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  8. Remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest for 8 minutes before slicing.
