Instructions
- Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel and pound to an even thickness if necessary.
- Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper or your preferred seasonings.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add your cooking oil once hot.
- Place the chicken breasts in the skillet and cook undisturbed for 4-5 minutes.
- Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Add broth or water to the skillet along with any herbs, and bring to a simmer.
- Cover the skillet and reduce heat to medium-low, cooking for 8-10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
