Ingredients

The meat

  • 4 pounds beef brisket

The rub and sauce

  • cup BBQ rub
  • ¾ cup beef broth
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Coat the brisket with BBQ rub.
  2. Pour beef broth into the Instant Pot and place the brisket in, fat side up.
  3. Spread BBQ sauce over the brisket.
  4. Seal the pot and set it for high manual pressure for 75 minutes.
  5. After cooking, let the pressure release naturally for 15 minutes, then manually release any remaining pressure.
  6. Optionally, preheat the oven broiler and brush more BBQ sauce over the meat.
  7. Broil for 2-3 minutes until caramelized, watching carefully.
  8. Let the meat rest for 10 minutes, then slice against the grain and serve with additional sauce.
