Instructions
- Prepare Yudane the night before by mixing bread flour with boiling water and refrigerating overnight.
- Combine all bread ingredients in a bread machine and knead for 20 minutes.
- Make pastes from purple sweet potato and kabocha pumpkin powders by mixing each with water.
- Divide the dough into three parts for white, purple, and orange dough.
- Knead the purple and kabocha pastes into the respective dough parts.
- Place each dough in oiled bowls, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Punch down the dough, divide each part into 6 pieces, shape them, and place in a lined baking tin.
- Cover and let rise until doubled in size.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, checking occasionally to prevent over-browning.
- Cool slightly and decorate with melted chocolate before serving.
