Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease two 9x5 inch loaf pans.
- In a small bowl, mix together pumpkin, sour cream, eggs, orange zest, and vanilla until smooth.
- In another bowl, blend the dry ingredients: flour, sugars, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and salt.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Stir in the melted butter until fully incorporated.
- Divide the batter into two portions; mix chocolate chips into one portion if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pans and spread evenly.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
