Ingredients

The chicken

  • 1 pound chicken tenders

The marinade

  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

For grilling

  • as needed none vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the marinade ingredients in a bowl or measuring cup.
  2. Pour the marinade into a ziptop bag, add the chicken, seal it, and ensure the chicken is coated.
  3. Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 8 hours.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium heat (375°F).
  5. Oil the grill and place the chicken tenders on it in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  7. Let the chicken rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
