Ingredients

The cake

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

The frosting

  • ½ cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until smooth, then beat in the eggs one at a time.
  4. Stir in the Greek yogurt and vanilla extract, then mix in the mashed bananas.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients until just combined, then spread the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 25-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean, then let it cool completely.
  7. To make the frosting, beat the butter and peanut butter until smooth, then gradually add the powdered sugar.
  8. Add the milk and vanilla extract, beating until smooth.
  9. Frost the cooled banana cake and cut into squares to serve.
