Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a 9x9 cake tin.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla, and olive oil for 2-3 minutes.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then stir in the boiling water.
- Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for 30-32 minutes.
- Let the cake cool for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
- Prepare the cream cheese icing by melting the chocolate and mixing it with cream cheese and icing sugar.
- Frost the cooled cake with the icing and top with strawberries and basil.
