Ingredients

The cookie dough

  • ¾ cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt

The matcha mixture

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder

Instructions

  1. Mix softened butter and sugar in a bowl, then beat in eggs and vanilla.
  2. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt, then form into a dough and chill for 1 hour.
  3. Whisk melted coconut oil and matcha powder, then mix with a portion of the chilled dough.
  4. Knead the matcha dough into the uncolored dough to create a marbled effect, then chill for 15 minutes.
  5. Slice the dough into four pieces and keep them chilled until ready to use.
  6. Roll out the dough, cut into desired shapes, and bake for about 6 minutes until golden on the bottom.
