Grilled Steak

Ingredients

The steak

  • 2 steaks ribeye steaks (1 lb each, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2-inches thick)

The seasoning

  • 1 ½ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

The butter mixture

  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp minced fresh rosemary
  • ¾ tsp minced fresh garlic

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle kosher salt on both sides of the steaks and let them rest at room temperature for 45 to 60 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the butter, rosemary, and garlic.
  3. Preheat the grill to 450 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. Sprinkle pepper on both sides of the steaks.
  5. Grill the steaks for about 3 ½ to 7 minutes per side, depending on desired doneness.
  6. Use an instant-read thermometer to check for doneness.
  7. Let the steaks rest off the heat for 5 minutes, then brush with the garlic herb butter, slice, and serve.
