Ingredients

The Steaks

  • 2 pieces prime filet mignon
  • 1 piece thick prime ribeye steak

The Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

Garlic Herb Butter

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Make the garlic herb butter by mixing softened butter, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Remove steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before grilling.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (350-400°F).
  4. Pat the steaks dry and brush both sides with avocado oil.
  5. Season both sides liberally with salt and pepper.
  6. Place the steaks on the hot grill and close the lid. Do not touch the steaks while they cook.
  7. Flip the steaks at the recommended times based on desired doneness: 3-4 minutes for rare, 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, 5-6 minutes for medium, and 6-8 minutes for well done.
  8. Once the steaks reach the desired doneness, remove them from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes.
  9. Top the steaks with a scoop of garlic herb butter before serving.
