Homemade Lemonade

Instructions
- Combine sugar and 2 cups of water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring frequently until the sugar dissolves.
- Allow the sugar syrup to cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes.
- In a large pitcher, mix the sugar syrup, 7 cups of cold water, and fresh lemon juice.
- Add ice and serve cold. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
