Ingredients

The base

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-5 large lemons)
  • 4-5 cups icy water

Sweetener

  • ¾ - 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • to taste simple syrup

Instructions

  1. Roll the lemons on a cutting board while pressing down to get the most juice.
  2. Cut the lemons in half and juice them using a juicer or by hand.
  3. Add the lemon juice to a measuring cup.
  4. Pour the lemon juice into a pitcher, followed by the icy water and simple syrup to taste.
  5. If using granulated sugar, mix it with the lemon juice before adding the water.
  6. Stir the mixture well to combine all ingredients.
  7. Slice the remaining lemons and add them to the pitcher.
  8. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
