Homemade Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 6 cups water, divided
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar in a saucepan and heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the syrup cool for about 10 minutes.
  3. Pour the fresh-squeezed lemon juice into a pitcher.
  4. Add the cooled syrup to the lemon juice.
  5. Add the remaining 5 cups of water and stir well.
  6. Serve over ice or chill in the refrigerator before serving.
