Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F and prepare a 9x13 pan with foil and non-stick spray.
- Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions and pour it into the prepared pan without baking.
- In the same bowl used for the brownie mix, add melted butter, both sugars, egg, egg yolk, and vanilla, and stir to combine.
- Add flour, baking soda, and salt to the mixture and stir until combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough over the brownie batter, allowing some brownie batter to show through.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cookie layer is set and the brownie layer is cooked through.
- Cool, cut, and serve.
