Ingredients

The turkey

The marinade

  • 6 ounces Injectable Butter Marinade
  • cups turkey or chicken broth
  • ½ cup olive oil

The seasoning

  • ½ teaspoon dried or ground oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried or ground thyme
  • 3 tablespoons Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked preferred)
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Pat the turkey dry and remove the inner cavity contents.
  3. Pour broth into the bottom of a roasting pan and place the turkey on top.
  4. Inject the turkey with the marinade, focusing on breasts and legs.
  5. Drizzle olive oil over the turkey and rub the spices into the skin.
  6. Bake the turkey at 425°F for 30 minutes to crisp the skin.
  7. Lower the temperature to 325°F and continue baking for 2-5 hours, checking with a meat thermometer.
  8. Ensure the turkey reaches an internal temperature of at least 165°F.
  9. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
