Ingredients

The chocolate

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

The filling

  • ½ cup almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • to taste flaky sea salt (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Line a muffin tin with 12 muffin liners and melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together.
  2. Add a teaspoon of melted chocolate to each muffin liner and swirl it up the sides, then freeze to set.
  3. Mix almond butter and maple syrup in a bowl, adding salt if needed, until thickened.
  4. Remove the pan from the freezer, form the almond butter mixture into discs, and place on the chocolate layer.
  5. Cover each cup with a teaspoon of melted chocolate and sprinkle with sea salt if desired, then freeze for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Once set, store in the fridge and enjoy.
