Ingredients

The calamari

  • 14 ounces calamari rings and tentacles

The marinade

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon juice

The breading

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (440°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine olive oil and lemon juice in a bowl and marinate the calamari for at least 5 to 30 minutes.
  3. Mix panko breadcrumbs, salt, oregano, and black pepper in a separate bowl.
  4. Dredge the marinated calamari in the breadcrumb mixture to coat evenly.
  5. Place the breaded calamari on the lined baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
