Ingredients

  • 4 cups unsweetened almond milk, rice milk, coconut milk beverage, or dairy milk
  • 2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp virgin coconut oil
  • 2 tsp ground turmeric
  • ¾ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground cardamom
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • tsp ground cloves
  • tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, whisk together the milk, honey, coconut oil, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, cloves, and black pepper.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it just starts to simmer.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract, and let it steep off heat for another 5 minutes.
  5. Serve warm or chill in the fridge overnight to serve iced.
